- Sportsbooks are already accepting bets for the 2024 Presidential Election with odds posted for the event.
- Joe Biden and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are both tied for the top spot with odds of (+300).
WASHINGTON – With votes still being counted for the 2020 Presidential Election, sportsbooks are looking ahead and have posted betting odds for the 2024 Presidential Election. Actual candidates won’t even begin to make announcements of their intent to run until at least 2022.
But sports betting platforms have come up with a list of names of people based on how they fared this year or their general political presence during the 2020 campaign season.
Who’s Listed On Sportsbooks For 2024 & Their Odds Of Winning
Numerous names have been tossed around political circles for the 2024 presidency. Politicians are always looking toward the future even with the present-day election results still looming.
Sportsbooks like MyBookie have posted their 2024 choices. The top two candidates tied with odds of (+300) are US Representative from New York Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and Joe Biden, who is presently looking to win the 2020 Presidential Election.
Behind the two frontrunners are Senator from California, Kamala Harris (+350) who would serve as Vice President should Biden be named President in the current election. Following Harris is Elizabeth Warren (+800), the Senator of Massachusetts.
Warren, like Harris, both put their bid in to run for the presidency in 2020 as the Democratic nominee. Ultimately, they would each withdraw from the race and Biden would take the spot unopposed as he was the only remaining person left by the time a candidate was to be named.
To round out the top five people listed for 2024 presidential betting is Bernie Sanders (+1000), the Senator of Vermont. Sanders also ran a campaign for 2020 and lasted the longest of any other candidate before handing the baton to Biden when he withdrew his name from consideration.
It should be noted that all five of these potential winners are from the Democratic Party and four of the five listed chose to run in 2020 which makes another run in 2024 for them not so farfetched.
If Biden does become the 46th President of the United States, there is little doubt that he will try for re-election in 2024 making him the top choice to represent the Democratic Party which would make all of the other listed contenders a non-issue.
What Happens Now?
For political bettors looking for the best election odds, betting on Biden in 2024 while his odds are set at (+300) would be a smart move. The potential for big profits from wagering on him in the future will get smaller if 2024 will serve as his re-election year.
At this point in the 2020 Presidential Election, while votes have not fully been counted, Biden is still holding the majority which would make his current odds for 2024 likely the best that will be seen going into the 2024 Presidential Election.
