Blue Is The New Red In WIS Electoral College

- Democrat -160
- Republican +120
Since 1848, Wisconsin has been predominantly red with 25 elections swinging to the right compared to the 18 that have gone blue. However, most of those red years came pre 1976. Dems Ruling Wisconsin Senate Election Odds
Wisconsin Senate Election Odds
- Democrat -600
- Republican +375
In the Wisconsin Senate Election odds, the Democrats are heavily favored to take over. This comes as the state is currently one of seven states to have a split senate delegation with Tammy Baldwin (Dem.) and Ron Johnson (Rep.) the current sitting senators.
In the 2024 elections though, Senator Johnson is not the Republican nominee. Eric Hovde is the nominee who came out of the primaries and will run against Senator Baldwin. What has led to the heavily favored odds towards Balwin and the Dems is how the primaries have played out. Hovde received roughly 477k votes to become the candidate while Baldwin received roughly 627k votes.
